This entire article is an ad hominem attempt to avoid talking about actual science. But, let’s talk about science. Scientifically speaking, herbicides are toxins. Scientifically speaking, pesticides are toxins. This is how they are scientifically categorized. Science also tells us they work. They really are toxic. The problem surrounding this discussion has nothing to do with GMOs and everything to do with environmental toxins.
If we just stick to talking about actual scientific findings about herbicides and pesticides, and don’t get caught up in pro- or anti-GMO propaganda, we can have productive discussions. I don’t really care if a tomato I buy at the store has a genetic modification that, for example, makes it easier to grow in areas subjected to more frost in the winter, but I do care if a tomato I buy at the store is laced with toxic, carcinogenic chemicals.
