The irony here is rich. It was Monsanto and other corporate interests who implemented the strategy of conflating any attack on GMO as an attack on science. People with legitimate grievances of specific uses of GMO have been painted with a broad brush of being anti-science, when they were objecting on the basis of science.

Of course, through all of this, Monsanto appears to have actively hamstrung the application of science in the investigation of its own products, and is now defending itself in lawsuits in Europe and the United States because of this.

It’s utterly disingenuous to get mad about this, unless you are going to specifically get mad at Monsanto, who has been sued over and over through the years, and who is being sued right now for being anti-scientific agents, but who has continually mischaracterized legitimate criticism of its products as being anti-science.

For a guy who claims to be pro-science, you sure do spend a lot of ink getting mad at victims of anti-science actors like Monsanto. If they are manipulating data about their own products, then you literally cannot trust any of their products, and it’s entirely unscientific to say otherwise.
