The disruption narrative is such bullshit. Trump presents the perfect manipulable dolt to all the same powerful conservative operators who have been pulling the GOP strings for decades (and, frankly, the Democratic Party’s strings of late as well). And now they’re doing it to him. He is divisive in exactly the way they want him to be. He is authoritarian, crushing civil rights, in exactly the way they want him to be. He is anti-labor in exactly the way they approve. And, most importantly for them, he gives them exactly the tax breaks they want.

This is entrenchment. This is the opposite of disruption.
