Nobody is entitled to your vote. In a democracy, your vote is your power. Why give it away to someone who doesn’t deserve it? All arguments that suggest you should give your vote to an undeserving person rest on fear of the even worse person they want you to vote against. But when has fear ever been the route to empowerment?

Playing that game leads to bad candidates continuing to get even worse, with no incentive to ever get better, leaving room for progressively more awful people to be perceived as slightly less awful than the worst candidates and therefore worth voting for. I really don’t like where that goes.
