I have been making this point repeatedly, myself. Protest is protected by the First Amendment. Why should Berkeley students be forced to remain silent so that Ann Coulter can get up on stage and troll them, uncontested? That makes no sense. If you’re for free speech, then you should be for free speech for everyone, and that includes both Ann Coulter getting up on stage and spewing hateful nonsense, and Berkeley kids running around in the streets yelling about stuff.
I just hope this inspires more students at more colleges everywhere to get out and protest hate speech. It’s their right, and they don’t have to just lie down and take it from professional millionaire trolls and hate-mongers.
