I could go on, but I’d probably get into nitpicky stuff. Maybe I’m outside the demo now, and it’s not the movie’s fault that it didn’t deliver what I wanted.

I didn’t see this movie. I don’t plan to. The franchise jumped the shark within the first few scenes of the first reboot. Maybe I’m outside the demo, too. It’s just not Star Trek; it’s, as you say, generic sci-fi.
