Enabling our writers to speak with a collective voice
‘Enabling’ implies that you are giving power or authority to your writers. The only way this is true is if authors have a choice to include a byline or not. If the authors don’t have a choice, then you’re forcing them, not enabling them.
The main reason for anonymity, however, is a belief that what is written is more important than who writes it.
So, words are more important than people? That seems like a dubious position, but it is typical for a company to put its own brand identity and product ahead of its employees, so this is not surprising.
