It’s important to note that if UBI damages the integrity of free markets, democracy, and capitalism, then it might be too high a price to pay. These are the forces that have raised standards of living the most and in the shortest time. Quality of life from the 1800s to now is drastically different.
Correlation is not causation. Quality of life (in many places) has increased significantly between the 1800s and now, but you have in no way demonstrated that this is a result of the integrity of free markets, democracy, or capitalism. What’s more, even if you could unequivocally demonstrate that, it would not follow that what was best to spur social development in 1800 remains the same in 2017.
