Yes, the parties and campaigns, Comey, Assange, white voters, Democrats who didn’t bother to vote, a failing and overpriced educational system, and many others also share the blame. But let us begin with our responsibility.

Assange is a journalist. From Wikipedia: “Julian Paul Assange (/əˈsɒnʒ/;[1] born 3 July 1971) is an Australian computer programmer, publisher and journalist.”

That you separated him from yourself is basically the entire problem in a nutshell. You consider corporate shilling legitimate journalism, but, somehow, what Assange does puts him in another category in your mind. Some would say Assange is a legitimate journalist, yet you are not. He’s the guy that has actually upset governments with his unrelenting disclosure of facts; you guys are just going to go back to taking money from corporations and reporting the news exactly how they want you to.

The failing in journalism is the exact same failing that has obliterated the DNC, and which has transformed Congress into a group of circus monkeys conducting legislative theater: corporatism. You are all corrupt and complicit in the pillaging of the American worker. You have all sold out ordinary Americans in the name of greed and smug self-interest.

Journalism in the mainstream media has been dead a long time now. That it takes a Trump win for you to see that, even though the American public’s confidence in the mass media has been evaporating for decades, is quite telling. Probably because you guys aren’t used to dealing with facts and figures anymore — just propaganda. That you think you should have pushed harder for a Clinton win — doubled down on your propaganda, in other words — tells me you’re not going to do the real work of winning back the American people by engaging in any actual journalism.

Journalism is about reporting facts. Try doing that from now on.
